Hello Fellow Rotarians and Friends!

Here’s this week’s podcast for Week 19 of the Rotary Year.

This is a rather unique episode where we feature a touching letter from a mother to her son.  Past District 6040 Governor, Carl Chinnery, was the featured speaker at last weekend’s Sixth Annual District 6000 Foundation Banquet.  In 1998 he was asked to be Polio Plus Chairman for District 6040 or Rotary International. In order to prepare he requested his mother to make some notes about their families experience with polio. Two weeks later she presented him with this  letter. The majority of the content of the letter was brand new to Carl and his siblings. Neither she nor his Dad had talked about the polio experience for over 45 years.

You can read the entire letter here.

Let me know what you think about how I might improve this effort or what topics and subjects you’d like me to cover.

Thanks for listening!
